Marco Silva and Marcel Brands look set to bring their first Everton transfer over the line this week. Richarlison, Digne and Mina all set to agree terms.
The Watford wide man is believed to have already agreed terms with Everton and an announcement to be made on Monday. The Brazilian was keen on a move away from Vicarage road almost as soon as Marco Silva left his position at the hornets last season.
It was initially rumoured the fee would be £50mil+ add ons, however that fee is more likely to be £40mil, including a compensation fee for the Marco Silva fiasco. Richarlison is expected to take a weekly wage of £110,000 a week.
It is understood that Richarlison along with Watford teammate Abdoulaye Doucoure, were made a promise by Silva last January when Everton initially shown interest, after Ronald Koeman was sacked, that both would come to Goodison park with the Portuguese manager. Doucoure and Richarlison both missed Watford’s pre-season friendly against Fortuna Dusseldorf on Saturday.
Another player who appears to be waiting for confirmation of a move to Goodison park is Barcelona left back Lucas Digne. The 25-year-old has struggled to make waves at the Spanish giants and a move looks appropriate for both parties.
Everton initially offered £18mil for the fullback, however that was rejected by Barcelona. Since then, the Toffees came back in with a bid of £22mil which has been accepted. The formalities of the deal are believed to be done, but club officials at Everton are currently working on Digne’s contract demands.
It is likely that the Digne will go straight into Everton’s current side with Leighton Baines then working as backup.
Barcelona are less keen to sell Mina permanently as they are Digne. Mina was only signed from Palmeiras by Barca in January, however with a change of manager and the Spanish club bringing in further centre back reinforcements, it looks as though Mina will have to find his football elsewhere.
The Columbian centre back had a successful World Cup campaign, having scored 3 goals and caught the eye defensively as well.
Other Premier League clubs have been circling for the centre backs services as well as Everton. Leicester, West Ham and newly promoted Wolverhampton have all enquired about potential deals. Everton would only entertain a permanent deal for Mina however Barcelona won’t want to sell for less than £25mil including a buy-back clause or preferably a season long loan deal.
The other Premier League clubs interested have mainly enquired about a loan move for the defender.
