Transfer news Evertonians have been waiting for, as Everton look set to make in roads into this current transfer window.
Marco Silva and Marcel Brands are ready to put their names to their first Everton signing. As we understand Everton have placed a bid in the region of £30mil for Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.
Palace highly rate their quick footed winger and have valued Zaha between £60mil and £70mil. As part of Everton’s offer, it is believed that Yannick Bolasie has also been included, meaning Everton’s £30mil previous summer window signing would return to his former club for a similar value.
Marco Silva is thought to have highlighted a couple of key areas he wishes to improve in this current transfer window and the flanks are one. Marcel Brands is a firm negotiator and was renowned for making signings happen at his former club in the same role, also agreeing with Silva that Everton’s wings are in need of improvement.
Wilfried Zaha lit up Crystal Palace’s 2017/18 season after returning from an injury which saw him sidelined for a large part of the start of last season. Zaha’s improvement and confidence came with back from Palace’s manager Roy Hodgson who has spoken highly of the 25-year-old winger, insisting it would “Take a lot” for the club to agree to Zaha’s departure.
It is however understood that Zaha is very keen for a move away from Selhurst park and in particular to Everton.
The offer comes on the back of reports that Everton have cooled their interest in Celtic’s left back Kieran Tierney, although no official confirmation has been made regarding such theories.
Newspapers and reports are expected to start reporting on Everton’s bid for Wildried Zaha after England’s Wednesday night game against Croatia.
