It is believed that Everton have this evening agreed a fee with Olympiacos for the services of out of favour winger Kevin Mirallas.
The Belgian winger has be a hot topic of for Evertonian’s to discuss over the last couple of seasons. With continued rumours his attitude at training and with previous managers had taken a nose dive, it was inevitable that the winger was always going to be moved on.
Since becoming Everton manager, Sam Allardyce has not even entertained the Belgian after the troubles that had gone before. Mirallas wasn’t even offered game times in the u23s due to his attitude under David Unsworth when he took temporary charge of the first team.
After continuous references Mirallas made to Olympiacos on his Instagram page, it was plain for all to see where the player wanted to be. Over Christmas he posted the below picture of his family wearing Red and white clothing, once again another cryptic reference to his soon to be future.
That wasn’t all that was to occur over on his Instagram account, though. Mirallas also commented sarcastically numerous times tagging Everton fans after frustrated comments made on his pictures.
This ones after a fan complained the player had stopped posting Everton related posts and that he has no respect for the club.
Mirallas was a breath of fresh air when he first arrived at Goodison Park, providing goals and assists as well as pace and obvious ability. Since Roberto Martinez was sacked as manager at Everton, Mirallas has lost his interest to perform well on a consistent basis as well as poor attitude in and around the squad.
We’re pretty confident that once Mirallas has joined Olympiacos, we will hear his ‘version’ of events which may well make some interesting reading. Either way, there is no doubt that his poor and negative attitude on more than one occasion has lead to this point in his Everton career.
