New Everton boss Sam Allardyce and his coaching staff will remain in England for Everton’s dead rubber Europa league tie on Thursday evening.
Rumours began early this week that Allardyce and Sammy Lee will remain at Finch Farm, instead of travelling to Cyprus for Everton’s final appearance in this seasons Europa league.
The coaching duo are also believed to be joined by Duncan Ferguson and 2-3 other members of Everton’s new match day back room staff. Allardyce, who has brought up to 14 members of new backroom staff with him to the club, will look to send a temporary team of coaches to the final Europa league fixture in Cyprus.
Craig Shakespeare is likely to take charge as Everton’s head coach heading into Thursday night game. The team is likely to be picked by Sam Allardyce prior to the squads departure later today, a sauad expected to be full of youth players.
Muhamed Besic and Joel Robles could be a couple of familiar faces in an otherwise young squad, with Morgan Feeney, Beni Beninghime and David Henen all set to be involved.
Sam Allardyce and his chosen support team will remain at Finch Farm in order to prepare the full first team squad for Sunday’s Merseyside derby. Everton’s new boss has made it clear that the Premier league and this weekends game, will take priority, emphasisingthe importance for his new players to be full prepared and fresh.
The Toffees are currently 2 games unbeaten on the back of David Unsworth’s spell as caretaker manager and the injection Sam Allardyce has brought to the setup.
