Everton’s next manager: Thomas Tuchel profiled

After Everton’s ugly start to the 2017/18 season, Ronald Koeman was shown the door as Everton boss. Now we look at his replacement, each in a detailed profile.

Thomas Tuchel

Age: 44

Nationality: German

Manager since: 2007-2008

Teams managed: FC Augsburg II, Mainz 05, Borussia Dortmund

Former playing position: Defender

Achievements: 2016/17 DFB-Pokal

Reportedly Farhad Moshiri’s favourite for the managerial position, Thomas Tuchel is a world renowned manager who played his trade at Borussia Dortmund most notably and is hot property among European giants.

The Krumbach born 6’4 giant succeeded none other than Jürgen Klopp at Dortmund and is similar in terms of playing style, stature and personality. If any Toffee ever wanted the Reds boss at Goodison Park, this is the closest they’re going to get.

Having guided Borussia Dortmund to 2nd place in the Bundesliga in his first season and 3rd in his second, Thomas Tuchel rapidly made his name. He plays an expansive style of football and gives youth a chance. He boasts a win percentage of 62% at Borussia Dortmund, the best ever in the Club’s history and more notably better than Jürgen Klopp’s.

He defeated German Olympians 17-0 in a pre-season friendly at BVB, that of which was his first. If that isn’t enough to sway you, Sky Sports Football recently revealed that the German was ‘open to a move to Everton’ and had always wanted to manage in Premier League.

Could the former BVB boss test himself in the Premier League? What’s YOUR thoughts on Thomas Tuchel potentially becoming the manager of Everton Football Club and WHY blues? Comment down below! 👇
