The former Irish international and Everton left midfielder has stood down from his USM Finch Farm coaching role today.
Kevin Sheedy, who has been credited for the breakthroughs of Ross Barkley, Tom Davies and Jonjo Kenny to the first team has decided to resign from his coaching role with the clubs u18s side.
Although it is not yet unkown as to the reason for the decision, it is thought that Sheedy had informed a lot of the staff at Finch Farm yesterday of his decision, whilst also waiting till today to tell the remainder of his collegues before making the news public.
The 53-year-old has battled with illness in recent years but has since overcome those issues. Sheedy is widely respected as a fantastic coach with the youth team players and it maybe the case that a job related to a first team role at another club could be a reason for a move.
We wish Sheeds all the best gling forward.
