Attending national duty for Romelu Lukaku seems like an opportunity to sell himself, according to Everton fans. Nobody can blame the Belgian striker for having ambition. But this time, has he taken it too far?
Despite contributing 87 goals and 29 assists in 116 appearances, the 24-year-old is far from a fan-favourite at Goodison Park. Reported interest from Chelsea and Man United is bound to get the Toffees sweating.
The Antwerp-born sensation was quoted as saying: “Staying at Everton is not really an option. A return to Chelsea? No comment. I know where I want to play; in a club fighting for the Champions League and Premier League.”
It’s still debatable whether or not the Belgian can provide the firepower to fight for the Premier League, let alone in Europe. Even Mourinho once dubbed him as “not good enough.”
What’s your thoughts, Blues? Is Romelu Lukaku good enough for any of the ‘top clubs’? Is he worth 100m? Or would you rather Everton force him to stay?
